Georgia Oakley is a BAFTA-nominated filmmaker with a close eye for performance and the private pressures people carry. Her films explore womanhood and LGBTQ+ identity, finding the political within the personal.

Her debut feature, “Blue Jean,” follows a story of queer identity through closely observed performances. Her period short “Little Bird” had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Across different eras, Georgia gives intimate lives the space they deserve. She knows a quiet scene need not be a small one.
