Kitalé Wilson

Kitalé goes further. Then looks closer. Across remote landscapes and city streets, he finds human stories with an explorer’s nerve, a filmmaker’s eye and an instinct for intimacy.

A filmmaker, photographer and writer based in London, Kitalé has crossed Patagonia’s ice fields and sailed to Antarctica. His work carries that same appetite for discovery, whether he’s following a photographer through New York or finding a human story in a remote landscape.

Exploration runs in the family. His father is polar explorer Dr Geoff Wilson, with whom he undertook the 109-day expedition from Australia to Antarctica at the heart of his debut feature documentary, The Explorer’s Paradox.

Alongside his documentary practice, Kitalé directs commercials and music videos, bringing an eye for scale and an instinct for intimacy to work for Dometic, Thrive and Bukola.

An explorer’s nerve. A filmmaker’s eye. We like the combination.
